For architects & interior designers
Keep the design intent. Refinish the frames in place.
Onsite respraying lets renovation teams retain sound aluminium windows and doors while changing their colour or restoring a tired finish. We can sample colour and discuss gloss level and metallic effects against your material schedule.
Plan the finish
Specify colour and sheen with confidence
We work from the project brief, reference materials and site conditions to agree a practical finish before coating begins.
Colour sampling on site
A colour reference helps narrow the choice, but surrounding light, adjoining materials and the existing substrate can affect how a finish reads. We can prepare and assess a sample with you before proceeding.
Gloss level
State the intended gloss or sheen in the specification. We discuss the available finish and how it relates to adjacent painted, powder-coated or glazed surfaces.
Metallic finishes
Metallic colour can shift in appearance with light and viewing angle. We can discuss a sample and application approach so the expectation is clear across the elevation.
Design intent and boundaries
We confirm which frames, doors and trims are included, and identify seals, glass and nearby finishes that require masking. This keeps the scope aligned with the drawings.
Coordinate a sample review
Allow the design team to review the sample in the setting where the frames will be seen. A sample viewed indoors may read differently from one on an exposed elevation. Confirm the accepted reference before scheduling the broader application.
Project delivery
Coordinate the respray with the renovation
We assess access, preparation and protection before setting the work sequence with the project team.
Inspect the substrate
Existing coating condition, contamination, damage and access all inform preparation. Any repairs or adhesion concerns are discussed before the finish is applied.
Protect adjoining materials
Glass, seals, masonry and completed interiors are masked as required. The masking plan depends on frame geometry and the work area.
Stage around other trades
Work areas can be sequenced to suit site access and renovation activity. Share the programme and constraints early so the scope can account for them.
Document the agreed finish
We confirm the selected colour and finish in the job scope. Product datasheet available on request.
Share site constraints early
Note working hours, scaffold or lift access, resident requirements and other trades in the brief. These details affect how masking and work areas are organised and help us identify what needs discussion before the site visit.
Make an informed choice
Retain frames where condition allows
A respray can change the appearance of suitable installed frames without removing them. It is not a substitute for repairing failed joinery or addressing water ingress.
Assess before specifying
We look at coating condition and frame suitability. Where deterioration, corrosion or damage needs attention, the required preparation and repair are discussed in the quote.
Compare replacement impacts
Replacement may involve removal, glazing and making good around the opening. Respraying avoids those steps when the existing frames are suitable, while preserving their current profiles.
Set realistic expectations
Colour change, number of coats, height, access and masking complexity influence the work. The final appearance also depends on product system and site conditions.
Keep material transitions in view
Consider how the frame finish meets brickwork, render, glass and adjoining metalwork. We can review those boundaries during the site assessment and clarify what is included, so the selected colour supports the intended composition.
Compliance
Project documentation
We can discuss the finish specification and work scope with the design and site teams before the job is scheduled.

Questions
Architects & designers: your questions answered
Can you match a specified colour?
We can work from a colour reference and assess a sample on site. Light and surrounding materials affect perception, so agree the sample before full application.
Can the finish be metallic?
Metallic finishes can be considered. Their appearance shifts with light and viewing angle, so sample review is useful before confirming the specification.
Can you work to a specified gloss level?
Tell us the intended gloss level. We will discuss the available finish and confirm the agreed scope before work starts.
Do the frames need to be removed?
The work is completed onsite and suitable installed frames generally remain in place. Condition and access are assessed first.
Can we get product information?
Yes. Product datasheet available on request. We can also discuss preparation and suitability for the project conditions.
