Once powder-coated metal is installed, it can't be spot-repaired with powder. Powder needs to be baked in an oven, and you can't put a window frame or balustrade back in the oven once it's on the building. The professional fix is a colour-matched electrostatic liquid coat, applied on site.
We repair scratched, chipped and damaged powder coat, fix batches that don't match, and respray whole runs when a touch-up won't blend. Builders use us to close out defects at handover; homeowners call us when a renovation, removalist or tradie has damaged their frames.
Because we match both colour and gloss level on site, the repaired area sits in with the original finish. For larger areas we recoat the full frame or panel, edge to edge, so there's no visible patch.

Powder coat repair: your questions answered
Can you repair powder coat without removing it?
Yes. Powder can't be re-baked once installed, so we use a colour-matched electrostatic liquid coating applied in place. Nothing is removed.
Will it match my existing powder coat colour and gloss?
We match colour and gloss level on site, and test before we spray. Where a spot repair won't blend, we recoat the whole frame or panel so it reads as one finish.
Do you fix builder defects before handover?
Yes. We work through your defects list and program so handover isn't held up. How we work with builders
Is this a replacement for powder coating?
For installed metalwork, yes. For new fabrication that hasn't been installed yet, factory powder coating is often the better choice. Electrostatic vs powder coating
