Handrails get touched, knocked and weathered more than any other metalwork on a building. We respray steel and stainless handrails on site, internal and external, so they look new again without being cut out and refabricated.
Coastal handrails need extra care. Salt air attacks the finish and the metal underneath, so prep and primer matter. We recently coated a coastal stainless handrail in Electro Dark Bronze, with the surface prepared for strong adhesion on stainless.
We mask walls, treads and glass, and coat every bracket and return. Handrails are often part of a larger balustrade or staircase job, and we can coat the lot in one visit.
