How we work in Newcastle

We're based in Sydney and don't have a Newcastle office. What we do have is a crew that travels for the right projects. Newcastle is close enough that we regularly consider jobs there, and we plan them so the travel makes sense: whole-home window and sliding door colour changes, strata buildings, and builder projects with a list of defects or a full respray.

Smaller jobs of one to five items are harder to justify on their own, but if we're already working nearby we're happy to look at fitting them in. Tell us what you've got when you enquire and we'll be upfront about whether it's a fit.

Coastal conditions

Newcastle's beaches, and Merewether in particular, put homes right on the coast. Ocean-facing balustrades and window frames get a steady coating of salt and full sun, and older aluminium finishes turn chalky and patchy. Steel balustrades and handrails can start corroding at the fixings and welds. Our process is built for this: wash down, remove failing coating, treat corrosion, prime correctly for the metal, then apply colour coats and a hard-wearing topcoat.

Whole-home window colour changes

Plenty of Newcastle homes still have their original cream, beige or bronze aluminium windows. They open and close fine, but the colour dates the whole house. A whole-home colour change recoats every window, sliding door and stacker in one consistent new colour, most often black or monument, without removing a single frame. Compared with new windows there's no re-glazing, no making good around openings and no long wait for manufacture, which is why it's the kind of project worth bringing our crew up the M1 for.

Strata and apartment buildings

Newcastle's coastal strata buildings commonly have the same problem on every floor at once. We can respray windows and balustrades building-wide, scheduled floor by floor with resident notices supplied, and give your committee a clear, itemised scope to table at a meeting.
