How we work in Brisbane

We're based in Sydney and don't have a Brisbane office. We travel to Brisbane and South East Queensland for projects that suit: commercial and industrial jobs, builder projects, strata buildings and whole-home window colour changes. Because we plan these trips around the work, we focus on jobs big enough to do properly in one visit.

Real Queensland work

We coated four large industrial roller doors in matte black for a Queensland client. The doors were sound but faded and marked, and recoating them on site was far quicker and cheaper than replacing them. The doors were masked at the motors and mechanisms, prepped, primed and finished so they still roll freely.

We've also worked on a three-storey steel staircase in Maroochydore, which we took through the full preparation stage on site. Large steel stairs like this are exactly where onsite coating makes sense: they're welded in place and can't go to a factory for powder coating.

Queensland conditions

Queensland's sun is relentless, and humidity plus summer storms are hard on tired finishes. North- and west-facing frames fade quickly, and steel that's been scratched during construction can start to corrode quickly in humid weather. Preparation is the key: we clean, treat, prime and then apply colour coats and a hard-wearing topcoat built for Australian conditions.

For Brisbane builders, we fix scratched and mismatched powder coat on site before handover and coat steel stairs and balustrades after install. For commercial sites, we work around operating hours, with SWMS and insurance documents available on request.
